The Spinelli Group is promoting a cycle of debates at national and regional level to discuss proposals on the main challenges and opportunities facing the European Union and emphasise the need to complete the European political project. On 8 November 2017 The Spinelli Group will be visiting Aachen. On this occasion, Members of the European Parliament from the Spinelli Group and from Aachen’s region will engage in a public debate with citizens and civil society representatives on how EU should transform itself to meet current challenges and citizens’ expectations, and in particular the perspective of closer political integration. The meeting will offer the occasion to examine and debate concrete proposals for the future of Europe in the recent speech on the State of the Union by the European Commission President Jean-Clause Juncker and by President Emmanuel Macron.
